In this current world we live in, it is normal for our worries to turn into anxiety, which then becomes limiting beliefs–or lies we tell ourselves that hold us back. One of those lies is the lie of “missing resources,” or feeling like there isn’t enough business and opportunities around for all of us to succeed.
I really like what Mark said about that: “It is not about the resources, necessarily. It is about your resourcefulness.”

Hey, everyone! Welcome to another session of Brilliant Talks, our free weekly coaching for real estate agents.
In this session, we talked about how to use social media for business, and we all know that there are two main things you need to do:
- Create consistent valuable content
- Engage your audience regularly and authentically
A lot of us fail at either one or both of these two. We go through some questions you can reflect on in order to find out what could be your social media pillars. We also show our September social media content calendar and go over the four buckets (or superpowers) we use, which we gave the acronym STAY (Sell with a story, Teach, Advice, and You).
Then we discussed our simple engagement strategy: LCM (Like, Comment, and Message).
My friend and Co-Founder of Drunk On Social, Jeff Pfitzer, also joined us for this session to share his expertise on social media marketing.

We are now on our 10th session for Brilliant Talks, our weekly free coaching to help real estate agents thrive in any shifting market. This week, we talked about scripts in talking to For Sale By Owners, and I am joined by Brian Curtis, CEO of Curtis Realty Group.
When talking to FSBOs, or anyone of your leads really, consistency and giving value is key. The mindset we want to have, approaching the conversation, is “How can I help this person sell their home?”
And of course, as we have said in every episode, it is important to get the close, but not as important as building relationships. Because, at the end of the day, all business is a relationship business.

When it comes to open houses, the people coming in might be actively searching for homes, or they could just be in the neighborhood, looking around. There are three important things we highlight in this coaching session: discovery, providing value, and follow-up. These three are crucial in forging authentic and long-term relationships with them, whether you can get them to a close or not.
